Yanli Tang ( She/Her) was born and grew up in China and now is a Vancouver-based multi-faceted artist who explores her view of art through the lens of different mediums besides painting such as photography, videography, poetry, writing, woodwork, pottery, modeling, live performances, as well as audio-visual experiences. Despite her growing reputation in Vancouver as an independent artist, Yanli has had no formal art school education. She is self-taught. Her passion for art has been lifelong and was manifested when she started to take painting Seriously in 2017. She decided to Dedicate Her Life to Art and Becomd Full-Time. Creating. Yanli is Highly Involved in West Coast Music Events, Keeps bringing inspiration and beauty of art on-site, live-painting performances at stages, and face/body painting for crowds at dance floors. With a decade of experience as the founder of one of the best underground records shops and music labels, music event photographer, and band manager in China, and how much she loves the rave communities, she naturally started shooting Local underground live music with her keen eyes. In 2023, Yanli is focusing on a series of big canvas paintings, a series of female photography. Also in 2023, Yanli is open for commission of mural painting, photography, and videography.
